The DeRaadts are as busy as ever. The dairy has well over a thousand head now, and Jake spends long hours managing the business. The methane digester is online and generating electricity. In addition, he is on the school board. Jacque is the center of the home, the one that keeps things running. She handles the bookkeeping for the dairy and tries to keep everyone's schedules and committments on track and on time (no small feat). Thank goodness, she still has to time to cook/bake for us when we go to visit because she is the best. Josh is attending College of the Siskyous near Mt. Shasta. Katrina is in high school now and active in choir and softball. Energetic Eileen is finally a teenage, having turned thirteen in December. She is into everything, but loves drama (both on the stage and off). Arie loves anything football (especially the Chargers and Bulldogs) and enjoys helping his Dad on the dairy. The family traveled to Europe this summer and really had a fun-filled, great three-week vacation. (P.S. No pictures of Josh on this page . . . Joshua, you need to send Grandma some pictures, boy!) |
